Impacting the lives of a nation through its children
Our world emphasizes education, economic development and disease prevention. Little attention is given to the character of children. In Africa, children are raising children due to AIDS, poverty, and war. Few are investing time and energy to shape the core values that guide their decisions and behaviors. With billions of dollars poured into Africa each year and the world’s good will to see Africa develop, they still lack leaders with moral integrity. 

Breakthrough Partners is intent to address this need for character formation. In collaboration with African leaders we developed a curriculum aimed at pre-school and primary children providing positive values that will move the nations towards peace and prosperity. The program focuses on five key values, “the High-5”of Love, Respect, Hope, Honesty and Thankfulness.

We will work with teachers, parents and children’s workers for those between 3 and 8 years old, those in a position to have their character shaped in positive ways to benefit society and influence adults. Our five-week program emphasizes one value each week with stories, puppets, songs, posters, coloring books and tee shirts. We hope to see a values-nurturing system built into these communities for ongoing impact and foresee this spreading within two years to all of Rwanda and four other African countries.
