During my recent trip to Rwanda, I met a woman named Beatrice whose husband was murdered during the 1994 Genocide. As she told me, Jesus has called her to reach out and bring healing to the Mary Magdalenes of her country. On the last Sunday of my stay in Kigali, I was invited to preach at the church where Beatrice attends and is involved. In this congregation of about 120 people, half were former prostitutes with their children. Beatrice has shown love and care to these broken women, and brought them to the cross of Christ. Again, God showed me that there is no one so broken or despicable that they cannot be restored by Jesus’ grace.
