Encouraging Christian church and community leaders to partner for the rebuilding of their nation.

Working with Breakthrough Partners, Keith Tungseth has been led to return to Russia several times to encourage visionary Russian Christians in strategic areas of ministry.  His most recent trip resulted in the strengthening of two specific connections which are now becoming partnerships to rebuild communities. 

New Life Radio in Moscow (Christian Radio for Russia) is a satellite and internet radio ministry offering the potential to influence Russian speakers around the globe.  The task is to find ways to connect Russian communicators who have a vision for the whole Gospel of the Kingdom.  They, together with those with the technological expertise to send the signal around the world, have a unique opportunity to influence the rebuilding of Christ’s church in Russia.

A church planter in Ekaterinburg, the third largest city in Russia, is also a bishop in his denomination.  This leader has a Kingdom vision beyond what has been realized anywhere in Russia and yet he sees himself as standing virtually alone before the tremendous challenge of a culture he describes as rotten to the core.  The traditional ways of doing church ministry won’t work in his context.  We see him as vulnerable to fatigue and disillusionment without effective partners.  Breakthrough Partners has an opportunity to be God’s catalyst for transformation in this broken place.  A beginning step in entering into a partnering relationship in Ekaterinburg may be to respond to a request for English teachers that would serve for several months connecting university students to the church.  The future may see God’s people of Ekaterinburg coming together in new ways for the rebuilding of this city.
