MLKPhoto WebOur 2nd Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer  Breakfast was held Monday, January 20, 2014, at
The Westin Seattle Hotel.

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that."       Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

We are grateful for the uplifting, unifying prayer breakfast honoring the spiritual legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. held on January 20, 2014 at the Westin Seattle Hotel.

This 2014 Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast represented the diversity of our community with over 340 people attending.

Our keynote speaker, former King County Executive, Rom Sims reminded us that it is the responsibility of each of us to actively help the poor, the forgotten and those with no voice.

Two members of our greater Seattle community, Executive Director and Principal of the Seattle Urban Academy, Sharon Okamoto, and the Founder and Executive Director of D.A.D.S. (Divine Alternatives for Dads), Min. Marvin L Charles, Sr. were honored with the Mountaintop Award for Leadership for the furtherance of justice, reconciliation and empowerment in our community.

Join us in 2015 for the 3rd annual Seattle Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast to be held on January 19, 2015.
